Kingdom 18 is a mini deck building adventure. Each player, or noble, attempts to build the most powerful kingdom through diplomacy or brute military force. Players start with four cards. Each card has two possible actions. Some cards favor military or political savvy, while others are assassins or shields used to steal values of opponents cards. On a turn, each player places one card face down on each of two lands. After these cards are revealed, another turn begins. After the second turn, the player with the most strength on each land wins it. Collected lands are count as points for end of game scoring. Play continues until all the lands have been claimed. Verdict

Each of these has it's own story to tell. Itty Bitty Dungeon Delve is a great mini dungeon crawler. It's a bit of a take that game because cards are manipulated in so many ways. There is always some changes happening and players hope to have the best dungeon in the end. Kingdom 18 is a great introduction to deck building. While this game only has 18 cards, it makes you think about the best way to use cards and how to make them have the most punch against your opponent. Shields Up is a great little space game. Flying through space at impeccable speeds while building up your ship and attacking your opponent.

One of our favorite parts of this game is that the three games together are about the size of a wallet. These games are great to throw in your pocket or purse and pull out while waiting for your meal at a restaurant. While the games are not deep thinking games, they have more depth and you might think 18 cards can contain. We were pleasantly surprised and will keep these games close to the door for our next outing.
